About Me
I’m Davy Brion and i develop software for a living… but i also consider it a hobby. I like to play around with technology and i love learning new things. I mostly focus on the .NET world, but i try to keep an open-minded view with regards to software development. With that i mean that i don’t necessarily follow the recommended approaches or guidelines from Microsoft, unless they’re actually good. I tend to look at what other development communities are doing, what works for them and what we can learn from that. My goal is basically to make my job as easy as possible while still delivering quality work. I try to make that happen with whatever techniques or libraries that i think will help me with that, whether these are from or inspired by Microsoft, or other development communities, it doesn’t really matter to me. I’m not anti-anything, i’m just pro-quality
In december 2008, i joined the NHibernate development team where i try to make myself useful for a project that has given (and taught) me a lot of cool stuff. If you’re looking for a good ORM for .NET, be sure to check it out
In November 2009, i started the open source Agatha project, an implementation of the Request/Response Service Layer for .NET which takes away many of the problems of typical/classic WCF usage.
