Time For A Much Needed Break
Posted by Davy Brion on June 7th, 2009
As you have probably noticed, i haven’t been very active lately. Mostly because of some situations in my personal life lately which took up a lot of my spare time. Because of this, i haven’t been posting as much as i used to, nor did i contribute anything to NHibernate in the past couple of weeks. Luckily for me, i’m leaving for a trip to the Dominican Republic in a couple of days where i intend to explore the limits of the concept “relaxation”. As much as i love software development and computers, i’m really looking forward to not even touching a computer (or any electronic device for that matter) for about 10 days
. Who could think of computers when you’re hanging out a place that looks like this:

I’ll see you all in about 2 weeks

I heard this phrase some where else
“i’m really looking forward to not even touching a computer (or any electronic device for that matter) for about 10 days”

^^ I really hope you enjoy my lil island! 10 days is a rather short trip but if you have time, have a spin around Samana if you are around the north east, Bayahibe/Catalina/Saona if you are more around the south east. The south-western part is generally quite nice, but one thing is for sure, 95% of the beaches look like that
PS: Even if you do bother to take a laptop YAGNI!

Wow, can I be your suitcase boy? Seriously though, I hope you enjoy a relaxing 10 days on that Bounty island…

The bayahibe beach is ok. If you can take the Catamaran to Saona or Catalina (can never remember the name of the one to the left). If you drink (ie, rum what ever), take some from the hotel, the one on the Cat is crap XD or make friends with the crew guys “they got da codez” (good drinks). One last thing to try, if you like scuba the island to the right (Saona or Catalina) has some seriously impressive underwater views.
Have fun
